지난 5월 11일, 딜로이트 말레이시아 Korean Services Group(KSG)가 개최한 ‘말레이시아 조세·금융 세미나’ 가 성공리에 마무리 되었습니다. 말레이시아 RHB Bank의 협업과 대한무역투자진흥공사 (KOTRA), 말레이시아 한국상공회의소(KOCHAM)의 후원아래 진행된 이번 세미나는 최신 금융 및 조세동향에 따른 한국기업의 대응방안을 주제로 진행되었습니다.

말레이시아 각계각층에서 활동하고 계시는 한국기업 관계자 60여 명이 참석한 이번 세미나는 RHB 은행의 환율전문가와 Deloitte Malaysia의 세무 전문가의 강연 형식으로 진행되었습니다. KSG 총괄 박성은부장, KSG 법인세 담당파트너 Chee Pei Pei, GST 파트너 Tan Eng Yew, 그리고 이전가격(Transfer Pricing) 파트너 Theresa Goh가 말레이시아 국세청의 최근 변화된 조직구조와 맞물린 세무환경 변화, 최신 원천세 및 GST 동향을 주제로 깊이 있는 정보를 제공하였으며, RHB Bank의 초청 연사 Eugene Ray Martin이 국제환율시장전망에 대한 전문적 강연을 진행하였습니다. 더불어 마련한 토론 및 질의응답 시간은 참석자 분들의 열성적인 참여로 말레이시아 환율, 조세에 관한 통찰력 있는 정보를 나눌 수 있는 귀중한 기회가 되었습니다.

Deloitte Malaysia’s Korean Services Group (KSG) organised its annual tax seminar on 11 May 2017 at the Deloitte headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. The half-day seminar for this year, jointly organised with RHB Bank and the Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), aimed to provide essential knowledge on the latest tax developments and updates pertaining to the Malaysian economy in key areas such as the organization restructuring of MIRB(“Malaysia Inland Revenue Board”), recent development of withholding tax, Transfer Pricing, GST and foreign exchange matters etc.

The seminar was a great success with overwhelming response of over 60 participants comprising Korean entrepreneurs and investors, representatives from KOTRA, the Korean Chamber of Commerce (KOCHAM) and the Embassy of Republic of Korea. The audience actively participated with several pertinent questions raised. Presentations and forum discussion were given by Eugene Ray Martin, together with presenters from Deloitte: Country Tax Leader Yee Wing Peng, Korean Corporate Tax Service Leader Chee Pei Pei, Korean Service Group’s Lily Park, Indirect Tax Leader Tan Eng Yew and National Transfer Pricing Leader Theresa Goh.
