Mark Keat Jin Chan

Mark has more than 21 years of experience in Malaysian taxation and is the Japan Services Group Leader for Malaysia. During the course of his career Mark has served in both the capacity of a professional consultant as well as 6 years as in-house tax advisor in two Malaysian headquartered conglomerates. His current industries of focus include banking, insurance and takaful, asset management and leasing. He is a seasons tax advisor in all Malaysian tax matters including inbound/outbound investments, tax incentives, tax restructuring and mergers and acquisitions.

As JSG Leader Mark is responsible for the overall coordination of the Malaysian firm’s teams to support and service Japanese clients. Supported by the Malaysian based JSG team, Mark and his team are the first point of contact for Japanese clients that are looking to establish a business in Malaysia and the team is prepared to support investors who require connections to various government agencies in Malaysia.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Universiti Putra Malaysia and is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
