Mohd Fariz Mohd Faruk

Fariz has more than 17 years of experience in business tax compliance, tax advisory, and tax disputes and controversies with Deloitte. He has been involved in various business tax compliance and advisory assignments comprising clients ranging from private limited companies to public listed companies, multinational corporations, state owned entities and government-linked companies involved in banking, investment and asset management, insurance, property development, manufacturing, trading, and services industry.

Fariz leads the tax audit and investigation services in Deloitte Malaysia where he provides bespoke services to clients (both individuals and corporations) in managing and navigating through tax disputes and controversies with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia. Fariz has also been involved in various other tax assignments such as corporate and internal operations restructuring, tax due diligence on local and international investments, FATCA and CRS implementation and reporting services, private ruling application, GST implementation services, as well as managing the tax compliance affairs of a portfolio of clients.

Fariz holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Malaya and is a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM).
