IDC MarketScape names Deloitte a global leader for Enterprise Performance Management

Press release

New York, NY 24 February 2015 – IDC has named Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) a leader globally for Enterprise Performance Management. This designation is based on capabilities examined in their recently released report: IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Enterprise Performance Management Business Consulting Services 2014 Vendor Assessment.

“We are pleased to acknowledge this recognition as it provides objective confirmation that we provide the best people, delivering the best performance management results to our clients,” states Mark Shilling, Information Management Practice Leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “Our ability to innovate and practically apply some of the latest technology trends such as digital, cloud, and in memory data storage, allows us to help clients manage key performance drivers with more precision, faster, and at earlier points of impact, with deeper business partnering and agility.”

“Deloitte is proud to be recognized by clients as the most capable firm in providing the right mix of EPM business consulting services.” said Matt Schwenderman, Deloitte’s Performance Management Leader.

Specifically for Deloitte, the report notes, “In EPM consulting, Deloitte is seen as most capable of all firms at providing the necessary spectrum of business consulting services. Clients view Deloitte as among the most capable at leveraging appropriate analytics in an engagement, integrating the company's project team with the clients, and implementing risk awareness and solutions within other consulting engagements.”

IDC MarketScape is a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the characteristics that explain a vendor's success in the marketplace and help anticipate its ascendancy. The IDC MarketScape defines Enterprise Performance Management as providing “the avenue for translating a company's strategy into measurable targets and monitoring and evaluating how it is doing. EPM gives senior executives a real-time picture of how the organization is performing relative to its targets, to allow it to make needed changes as quickly as possible and ensure the changes are aligned to way employees are evaluated.”
