Deloitte Real Estate Market Sentiment – 2nd Edition

It is with great pleasure that we share with you the 2^nd edition of the Deloitte Real Estate Market Sentiment. This is survey that covers the main trends in the evolution of the Real Estate sector in Portugal, according to the Deloitte Portugal Real Estate team and that is conducted on a quarterly basis.

The survey was conducted between the 14^th and 22^nd of June, before the United Kingdom referendum.

According to 70% of respondents, the Real Estate sector is performing better today in comparison to the 6 previous months and, 60% of the respondents believe that the sector will evolve positively in the next semester. The residential (50%), hotels (50%) and residential tourism (54%) segments are the ones in which a bigger increase in the Real Estate investment rates of return is predicted.

Respondents have indicated that increases in demand (75%), and urban rehabilitation (70%) are the variables that could have a positive impact on the Real Estate sector evolution.
