Deloitte Romania Strengthens its Financial Advisory Leadership
Lars Wiechen takes over as Partner-in-Charge | Team strengthens and services expand | Radu Dumitrescu promoted as new partner Effective June 1, 2016
As both its client-base as well as market presence continues to expand, Deloitte Romania is pleased to announce significant investments in its Financial Advisory (FA) practice.
Effective June 1st, 2016, Lars Wiechen will take over the role of Partner-in-Charge for Deloitte Romania’s FA service line. Lars has been with Deloitte since November 2014 as Valuation & Modelling Partner and has substantially contributed to the 25% growth of the overall Financial Advisory practice. Alongside Lars, Radu Dumitrescu has been promoted as Partner and will be responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions Transaction and Reorganization Services within the FA function. Radu joined Deloitte as a Senior Manager five years ago and has consistently succeeded to develop business and talents.
The new Deloitte FA team will also expand its service offerings beginning with June 1, as the firm’s Forensic practice will be joining FA, as part of the overall change. Paula Lavric, Director, will continue to lead Deloitte’s Forensic team as she has been doing in the last five years. Her excellent results placed the Bucharest forensic practice among the most important in Central Europe, next to Prague, Budapest and Warsaw.
“At Deloitte, we are committed to make an impact that matters for our clients, people and communities. We are continuously looking for ways to contribute to the success of our clients and tailor specialized solutions to their specific needs. We have identified an increasing demand for FA solutions, therefore we are investing in the growth of our FA practice as part of our overall business strategy,” said Ahmed Hassan, Country Managing Partner Deloitte Romania.
Lars Wiechen added: “Financial Advisory is an ambitious, forward thinking service line that offers a full spectrum of financial services for clients facing critical business events, both in growth and crisis. I am confident that our new team will go beyond its boundaries to develop new services addressing the challenges of our current business climate, and to ensure that our value adding services will exceed our clients’ expectations.”
With a team of 40 dedicated professionals, Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice is one of the most prominent market players in Romania providing integrated corporate finance and transaction support advisory solutions to a focused portfolio of domestic and multinational clients, private as well as governmental.
