SBTi decarbonization target setting journey – lessons learned
Webinar coorganized by Deloitte and CDP
Free webinar: 31 March 2023, 11:00 – 12:00 EET
Tune in for the webinar during which experts from Deloitte’s Sustainability and Economics Consulting CE will join forces with CDP to provide both theoretical and practical overview of the Science Based Targets Initiative.
As pressure from customers and investors to take action to reduce environmental impact increases, so does the level of demands placed on company management. Making increasingly ambitious climate commitments requires organizations to accurately calculate their greenhouse gas (eng. GHG) emissions across all three scopes (Scope 1-3), and to consciously define decarbonization targets with an estimate of the necessary costs to meet them.
One of the ways that can help organizations set their goals in terms of reducing emissions is joining the Science Based Targets Initiative. SBTi is a collaborative initiative between CDP, the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and is one of the commitments of the We Mean Business coalition.
Learn more about SBTi and how it can guide your organization on the way to climate neutrality.
Taking part in the webinar you will:
- learn more about the SBTi methodology
- understand the practical side of joining the initiative and hear about the challenges our clients face while setting goals and implementing decarbonization strategies and how we manage those challenges.
- receive the answers to the frequently asked questions that often come up in our day-to-day work with clients.
