Science Based Targets initiative – Financial Services Industry perspective
2 June 2023, 15:00 – 16:00 EET
Join Deloitte’s webinar that will explore the topic of Science Based Targets initiative and decarbonization in the financial services context.
As pressure from customers and investors to take action to reduce environmental impact increases, so does the level of demands placed on company management. Making increasingly ambitious climate commitments requires organisations to accurately calculate their greenhouse gas (eng. GHG) emissions across all three scopes (Scope 1-3), and to consciously define decarbonisation targets with an estimate of the necessary costs to meet them. It is not different for the financial services industry, which is increasingly focused on ensuring their business model and financed portfolio aligns with the net-zero objective.
Join us as we bring together several eminent Deloitte subject matter experts along with speakers from the industry to explore the topic of SBTi and decarbonization in the FSI context.
During the webinar, we will:
- Elaborate on setting decarbonization targets for FSI,
- Provide an overview of the Science Based Targets initative and SBTi methodology,
- Discuss the links between PCAF, SBTi, Net-Zero Banking Alliance and PACTA,
- Present a case study exploring banks challenges and priorities with SBTi.
Our webcast will last for 1 hour.
