Electronic invoice - how do we prepare for go live?

The legislative project for implementing electronic invoicing in Romania was published on September 19, 2023. This legislative initiative follows Romania's obtained derogation for the introduction of the RO e-Invoice system starting from January 1, 2024.

The scope will be broad (B2B, B2G transactions, as well as transactions by non-residents), and the mentioned sanctions are significant. With only 3 months left until implementation, all taxpayers falling under reporting requirements must begin preparations for implementation.
