Restructuring - prudential measures in the debtor-creditor relationship

The financial and banking activity is directly influenced by developments in the economy, both locally and at the European and international level, taking into account the free movement of capital, as well as regulations in force.

For these reasons, companies that borrow funds from the banking market must monitor these developments and their impact on their own activity, and take preventive measures in the event of a possible deterioration of business conditions. On the other hand, institutions in the field must also proceed similarly, follow the impact these developments have on their clients, and take measures to support them in difficult situations, including through credit restructuring measures.

In this context, we invite you to participate to the event "Restructuring - prudential measures in the debtor-creditor relationship", organized on May 9, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM.

• What aspects do bank creditors monitor in the commercial companies they lend to? Signals of concern for creditors. Prudential requirements for qualifying an exposure as non-performing. Differences in approach among creditors - current situation vs. the financial crisis of 2008-2009.

• Credit restructuring: what new elements have recent changes to the Insolvency Law brought?

• How should a bank loan restructuring process be prepared? Financial/organizational aspects at the debtor's level. Prudential banking requirements applicable to restructuring - from the perspective of the bank creditor. Legal aspects - modifying the credit documentation.
