Center for the Edge - Romania

The Deloitte Center for the Edge partners with CEOs and senior executives make sense of and profit from emerging opportunities on the edge of business and technology. We help leaders understand the fundamental changes shaping the world, navigate the short-term challenges and identify long-term opportunities.

Based and founded in Silicon Valley, and with team in Europe and Asia Pacific we jointly have the aspiration to unlock the corporate innovation potential.  We do that by creating awareness of the new opportunity spaces, helping leaders to focus on what is truly relevant in the context of a 10+ years zoom-out vision, and start working on accelerating towards that future tomorrow.

The EMEA Center for the Edge was launched over 5 years ago in The Netherlands and still has its core team located in Amsterdam. After 3 years the success was creating traction and awareness in both the Nordics (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland) and Switzerland where we now have local representatives.

Starting September 1^st,2018, we brought the Center to Bucharest with the aim of supporting Romanian companies and the broader the CE region. The Center is led by Maarten Oonk, who is also part of the EMEA leadership team responsible for new business and technology.

Besides creating eminence in the market, providing meaningful insights as a thought leader and organizing dialogues on next level challenges our true value lies in designing and co-creating executive journey’s to explore new growth areas driven by exponential technologies and emerging business models.
