What does the new global trend ESG (environmental, social, governance) mean? What impact will it have on companies in Romania and on banking financing?
When: June 29, 2021, between 09.00 and 11.30
Deloitte Romania and Ziarul Financiar invite you to the videoconference “What does the new global trend ESG (environmental, social, governance) mean? What impact will it have on companies in Romania and on banking financing?”, which aims at debating this increasingly important topic with the authorities and the business environment. Sustainability is no longer the responsibility of the legal, public affairs or governance department, it has become a priority for the top management, including for the CFO, and a central element of the business strategy.
What does a company performance assessment based on environmental, social and governance factors imply? What ESG (environmental, social, governance) requirements are in force on a European and a local level? What does a company need to do in order to comply with these regulations and how will it report the progress in reaching the objectives imposed by the EU? How do the institutional investors assess the performance of a company that wants to access “green” financing? How will companies be able to access “green” loans?
Deloitte Romania and Ziarul Financiar will debate all these topics during the videoconference together with representatives of local authorities in this field and of companies that are already taking steps in adopting the new regulations:
- László Borbély, State Counselor, Department of Sustainable Development, the Government of Romania
- Yves Lallemand, Deputy CEO Global Corporates, BRD Groupe Société Générale
- Cristian Sporis, Vice-President, Raiffeisen Bank
- Alessio Menegazzo, Sustainability & Public Affairs Director, Enel Romania
- Marian Nastase - Chairman, ALRO
During the event moderated by Cristian Hostiuc, Editorial Director of Ziarul Financiar, the Deloitte experts will contribute with their insights on ESG:
- Irena Pichola, Partner, Deloitte Poland, Leader of the Central Europe team specialized in sustainability
- Dimitrios Goranitis, Partner, Deloitte Romania, Leader of Deloitte practice in Continental Europe specialized in banking risk and regulation
- Sorin Elisei, Director, Deloitte Romania, coordinator of the Romanian team specialized in sustainability
The videoconference will take place on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, between 09.00 and 11.30, and will be broadcast live on www.zf.ro and on Deloitte Romania and Ziarul Financiar Facebook accounts – here and here.
