EU Watchdog reports on capital and liquidity compliance of EU banks

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published on October 2nd two reports: one of them, monitors the impact of implementing the Basel III final reforms, whereas the other monitors the implementation of liquidity measures in the EU.

The Basel III capital monitoring report is the latest in a regular exercise and uses the methodology of the Basel Committee of Banking Supervision. Thus, it is not comparable to the broader Call for Advice report that was published in July 2019.

The report on liquidity measures evaluates the requirements in terms of the liquidity coverage that are currently in place within EU.

This article provides further insight on Basel III capital monitoring results and EBA report on liquidity measures.
