Council of the EU adds four new members to the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes

The EU continues to promote fair tax competition and addresses harmful tax practices. On 14th of February, the Council decided to add the following jurisdictions to the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes: British Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Marshall Islands, and Russia.

With these additions, the EU list now consists of 16 jurisdictions. All listed countries are kindly asked to improve their legal framework and to work towards compliance with international standards in taxation.
