ECB Single Supervisory Mechanism sets priorities for banks for 2022-2024

ECB Banking Supervision together with the national competent authorities has performed an assessment of the risk and vulnerabilities faced by the institutions under its surveillance and has set-up three main priorities for 2022-2024:

  1. Banks emerge from the pandemic healthy;
  2. Banks structural weaknesses are addressed via effective digitalization strategies and enhanced governance;
  3. Banks tackle emerging risks (climate-related and environmental risks, counterparty risk, IT & cyber risks).
