In the context of aligning the Romanian tax legislation to the latest international developments regarding the mandatory automatic exchange of information in the field of taxation ("Country-by-Country Reporting") started last year but also considering the pressure at the level of ANAF to increase efficiency of the fiscal inspection activity, in order to identify new fiscal risk areas, transfer pricing continues to be one of the main subjects investigated both at the level of the fiscal authorities and at the level of Romanian taxpayers part of national and multinational groups.  

In this context, the Deloitte Transfer Pricing team aims to address these issues and identify their impact at the level of the Romanian taxpayer.

• Recent approaches of tax authorities - intensifying transfer prices audits and changing selection criteria;
• The practice of tax inspections on transfer pricing and pro-active approach on the preparation of transfer pricing documentation;

Speakers:

Ciprian Gavriliu – Partner, Transfer Pricing, Deloitte Romania

Ciprian is a Partner in tax practice at Deloitte Romania, with an experience over 13 years in Romania tax law. He has assisted various Romanian or International private organizations to identify and manage successfully tax issues, especially the ones regarding transfer pricing. 

Ciprian is the leader of Transfer Pricing practice in Deloitte Romania. He has participated to numerous projects regarding international taxation. His areas of specialization are Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, TMT, FSI, Real estate, Life science & Healthcare and E&R. Ciprian is a member of Romanian Chamber of Tax Advisors, member of the Romanian Chamber of the Chartered and Certified Accountants and member of the Romanian Chamber of Financial Auditors.

Simona Mergeani - Manager, Transfer Pricing, Deloitte Romania

Simona is a Manager in the Tax Department of Deloitte Romania.

She has over 8 years of professional experience in the field of taxation being specialized in transfer pricing services. Simona has conducted transfer pricing documentation projects for intra-group transactions carried out by multinational companies that mainly operate in the Manufacturing, Retail, Real estate, Life science & Healthcare and has assisted clients during various tax audits.

Moreover, Simona has been involved in a wide range of projects for preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation, consulting for multinational and local business groups or restructuring projects.

Andreea Mereu - Senior Consultant, Transfer Pricing, Deloitte Romania

Andreea is a Senior Consultant in the Tax Department of Deloitte Romania.

She has over 4 years of professional experience in the field of taxation being specialized in transfer pricing services. Andreea has conducted a wide range of transfer pricing documentation projects for intra-group transactions carried out by multinational companies that operate in various industries, including Manufacturing, Real estate, Life science & Healthcare and Banking & Insurance.

Moreover, Andreea has been involved in several projects for reviewing and localization from a Romanian legislative perspective of transfer pricing documentation prepared in foreign jurisdictions, consulting for multinational and local business groups or restructuring projects.
