Ciprian Gavriliu – Tax Partner
Ciprian is a Partner in the tax practice of Deloitte Romania, having more than 15 years of experience in Romania tax law. Ciprian is the leader of Transfer Pricing practice in Deloitte Romania.
He has participated to numerous projects regarding international taxation and has assisted various Romanian or international private organizations to identify and manage successfully tax issues, especially the ones regarding transfer pricing.
He has experience is several industries such as Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, Telecommunications, Media and Technology, Financial Services Industry, Real Estate, Life Science & Healthcare and Energy & Resources.
Ciprian is a member of Romanian Chamber of Tax Advisors, member of the Romanian Chamber of the Chartered and Certified Accountants and member of the Romanian Chamber of Financial Auditors.
He has written numerous articles in the field, he is a frequent guest of many events, and debates regarding international taxation, especially, transfer pricing. In addition, he is directly involved in discussion with the Romanian authorities about changes in the tax legislation through American Chamber of Commerce and Foreign Investment Council. He is active in the business leaders’ community as well as in the Romania university environment by organizing dedicated events and seminars.
Ovidiu Bălăceanu – Senior Managing Associate, Reff & Associates, member of Deloitte Legal for Romania
Ovidiu is a lawyer, Senior Managing Associate with Reff & Associates SCA and is assisting clients on environmental law, food safety, regulatory compliance and consumer protection matters.
Ovidiu’s over 12 years experience in environmental law covers waste management, environmental taxes, permitting, industrial emissions, hazardous substances and pollution investigation and remediation.
Ovidiu assists clients in verifying and ensuring compliance with environmental requirements as well as in preparation of and during controls by environmental authorities and collaborates with the litigation team in the litigations having an environmental law component. Ovidiu also assists and represents clients before environmental authorities on matters of relevance for the clients such as obtaining clearances, seeking official interpretations and proposing legal amendments.
Ovidiu is member of the and Foreign Investors’ Council Environmental Task Force, of the Environmental Task Force of the Coalition for the Development of Romania and of the Environmental Committee of AmCham Romania
Mihaela Iacob – Senior Manager, Direct Tax
Mihaela is a Senior Manager specialized in Direct Taxation within Deloitte Romania. Mihaela has more than 12 years of experience in the taxation field, both as an consultant and within an multinational company.
She has worked for 6 years with Big4 companies covering projects ranging from international M&A, due diligences, transfer pricing, tax reviews gaining in-depth knowledge in all tax areas. She has also worked for the telecom company, Vodafone, holding the position of Tax &Treasury Manager where she gained also a client-oriented approach and implemented projects such tax aid scheme, VAT tax ruling, M&A transactions, activity migration to SSC and SAP implementation.
Mihaela has also worked in a smaller consultancy firm where she covered projects such as transfer pricing, tax reviews, tax optimizations for clients acting in IT, retail, real estate and she was also in charge with budget and people management.
Cătălina Cojocaru – Manager, Indirect Tax
Catalina is a Manager within the Indirect Tax Department of Deloitte Romania, specialized in VAT.
In the past years, Catalina has been involved in various types of projects for local and international companies from different industries: restructuring or tax optimization projects, tax reviews, tax disputes, representation in front of the tax authority, tax reporting and SAP implementation.
Catalina is part of the Deloitte group specialized in Energy and Resources, focused on Oil and Gas.
Catalina has a bachelor degree in Business and Tourism from ASE Bucharest. She is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants and in the process of becoming member of CIOT UK (Chartered Institute of Taxation).
Adriana Neacșu – Manager, Transer Pricing
Adriana is Manager within the Transfer Pricing department of Deloitte Romania and has over 7 years experience in the field of taxation. Adriana is specialized in transfer pricing services, having extensive experience in providing assistance to Romanian companies on issues concerning the transfer pricing area. She has assisted numerous companies in preparing the transfer pricing documentation file, being also involved in restructuring, due-diligence, assistance in applying for Advance Price Agreements, etc.
Adriana has been involved in providing assistance to companies in various industries such as: consumer goods industry, manufacturing, technology, media and telecommunications, agricultural industry, financial services and insurance.
Adriana is a graduate of the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banks and Stock Exchange within the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest and obtained a Master's degree from the same faculty, specializing in Corporate Finance. Additionally, Adriana is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants and is currently attending ADIT courses.
Gabriela Liciu – Senior Consultant, Indirect Tax
Gabriela is a Senior Consultant within Deloitte Romania’s indirect tax department, being specialized in VAT.
In the past years, Gabriela was involved in different projects, targeting both international and local companies, mainly in industries such as energy and resources and manufacturing.
Gabriela was involved in various advisory projects, tax reviews, due-diligence projects, assistance during tax audits, respectively (re)structuring business models exercises.
Gabriela graduated the Faculty of Law within the University of Bucharest, as well as the Faculty of Law within Paris I Panthéon –Sorbonne University and holds a master’s degree in European Law issued also by the latter.
Robert Ionescu – Senior Consultant, Direct Tax
Robert is a senior in the tax department of Deloitte Romania, specializing in direct taxes and international taxation.
In recent years, Robert has been involved in various types of projects for local and international companies from different fields of activity, such as: retail, consumer goods, production and real estate, having experience in tax inspection, due-diligence projects, tax reviews and consulting.
Robert graduated from the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banks and Stock Exchange and holds a master's degree in Financial Management and Investment, both obtained from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
