Andreea Șerban

Andreea is Senior Managing Associate in the Banking & Finance practice and has been part of the team since 2011. She is actively involved in the debt and claims trading practice within our firm, as well as on various regulatory and compliance engagements.

She advised parties from all sides of the industry in more than 20 high-profile loan portfolio transactions, with a face value aggregating over EUR 6 billion (local and cross-border deals involving performing and NPL portfolios, as well as distressed large corporate single ticket exposures). She provides a full spectrum of transaction assistance services, from pre-transaction decision-making, via due diligence, structuring aspects, bid benchmark and transaction execution to post-closing servicing.

Andreea has valuable experience in the design/carve-out of independent servicing platforms from the existing working units of the banks, for a more efficient management of large volumes of NPLs and repossessed assets.

She also worked on complex M&A deals in banking and leasing industries (e.g. transfer of businesses, bank acquisition projects). Recent highlights include experience on cross-border winding-up of credit institutions mandates.

She assisted entities operating in regulated industries (financial and non-banking institutions, broker-dealers, insurance companies etc.) on various regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters.
