Cătălin Barbu

Cătălin is a Manager within the Global Employer Services department of Deloitte Romania.

He has specialized in high complexity advisory work on a variety of topics: employment taxation, social security and mobility matters, the taxation of private individuals, structuring and implementation of tax incentives, taxation of cryptocurrency and blockchain, etc. His most important projects involve providing written advice for international arbitral proceedings as well as ECHR proceedings.

Cătălin is also part of the Deloitte Private program, which has a focus on providing assistance to family enterprises, private equity companies and emerging growth Companies.

Starting with 2022, he is a member of the Tax Advisory Council for Regulations in the Field of Distributed Technologies within the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest.
