Applications for the Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2017 will be accepted from 1 July 2017 until 30 September 2017.

Deloitte Global’s Technology Fast 500™ EMEA program is an objective industry ranking focused on the technology ecosystem. It recognizes both public and private technology companies that have achieved the fastest rates of revenue growth in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) during the past four years. The program is supported by Deloitte Global’s Technology Fast 50 initiatives, which rank high-growth technology companies by location or specifically defined geographic area.

Application Process

The Technology Fast 500 ranking is driven primarily by the local Fast 50 programs across EMEA, which recognize rapidly growing technology countries in a particular country or EMEA geography. All companies that receive a Technology Fast 50 ranking are automatically entered into the Technology Fast 500 program. Please use the local/geography contacts below to apply to a Fast 50 program. If there is no Fast 50 program in your geography, you may contact the main Technology Fast 500 email below to apply:

Eligibility criteria

In order to qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2017 program, your company must meet the following general requirements and eligibility criteria:

  1. Be in business for a minimum of four years
  2. Be headquartered within EMEA
    Note: Subsidiaries or divisions of companies are not eligible unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded. Companies that are acquired prior to the finalization of the list are not eligible to participate.
  3. Have base-year operating revenues of EUROS 50,000 and a current year operating revenue of at least EUROS 800,000
  4. Own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology, sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues.

1. Owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues.

2. Manufactures a technology related product.

3. Devotes a significant proportion of operating revenues to research and development of technology.

4. Be technology intensive, or use unique technology to solve problems
        Note:
        1. Using other companies' proprietary technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not satisfy this requirement.
        2. Consulting companies, professional service firms, resellers, and others are not eligible

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program originated in North America in 1995. As the technology ecosystem expanded throughout EMEA, interest grew in recognizing the most rapidly growing companies throughout the region, which led to the creation of the Technology Fast 500 EMEA program in 2001. The EMEA program ultimately recognizes, rewards and raises the profile of the fastest-growing firms—not only in EMEA, but within the global community in which technology executives do business.

What do Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA winners receive?

First and foremost, the recognition of appearing on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking list. All companies receive information from Deloitte about how to conduct an outreach campaign to press, and via social and digital channels. Depending on the ranking, Deloitte may amplify news of a company on the Technology Fast 500 list via an event, a press release, Internet presence and/or social media. Moreover, companies who are ranked in a country/geography Technology Fast 50 list may receive additional attention via local events, media outlets and promotional activities.

Where do entries originate for the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA?

The list is compiled from the following three sources:

1) Technology Fast 50 winners in Europe, Middle East and Africa, which are submitted automatically for Technology Fast 500 EMEA consideration;

2) Qualified applications made directly to the Technology Fast 500 program by companies in areas without a Technology Fast 50 program;

3) Generally available information about publicly held companies across countries or geographies.

How do companies qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA?

General requirements

Participants can be public or private, and encompass all technology industry segments including: Biotech/Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment, Telecommunications/Networking, Computers/Peripherals, Internet, Semiconductors, Components and Electronics, Media and Entertainment, Software, and Greentech.

How does Deloitte determine the winners?

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA winners are based on three-year average percentage growth for each technology company. The 500 that meet the strict definition of "technology companies with the fastest growth over three years" make the list. Deloitte Global assumes that all information provided by each company is accurate and does not independently verify such information.

Why is individual company revenue not revealed in the list of winners?

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking is based on the percentage of stated annual revenue growth. Some of the ranked companies are private organizations and do not reveal their revenue, and the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program is consistent with applicable practices and laws.

When will winners be named?

Winners are announced and published first week December.

Is there a list of past Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA winners?

Yes. Lists and press releases for our winners in EMEA date back to 2001 and are available via Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA website.

Does Deloitte Global sponsor other Technology Fast 500 programs around the world?

Yes, Deloitte Global and its member firms have Fast 500 programs not only in EMEA, but also in North America (since 1995) and in Asia Pacific.
