Deloitte opens its Southeast Asia Regional Capability Centre in Malaysia

SINGAPORE, 7 June 2023 – Deloitte today announced the opening of their Southeast Asia Regional Capability Centre (RCC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The RCC is designed to deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end suite of professional services to clients in the region across Deloitte’s five businesses – Audit & Assurance, Consulting, Financial Advisory, Risk Advisory and Tax – in a way that is seamless and cost efficient.

Strategically located in Kuala Lumpur, the RCC leverages Malaysia’s central geographic location within Southeast Asia and its reputation as a competitive destination for high-value investments. This move will allow Deloitte to enhance its regional presence and position the organisation to meet the increasing demand for professional services in Southeast Asia.

One key highlight of the RCC is that it requires talent with a wide array of skills and expertise to deliver its services that span the five businesses. Deloitte anticipates scaling up the RCC to over 1,000 employees within the year, with a plan to develop capabilities in data science and analytics, forensic investigation, supply chain management, digital transformation, cyber security, and cloud computing. This creates opportunities for the local talent and will help uplift the professional services sector in Malaysia.
