SINGAPORE, 8 June 2020 – Deloitte and Nanyang Business School (NBS) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) are collaborating to train a new generation of accountants to be skilled in audit analytics, where technology is leveraged in the application and analysis of data in auditing.

The first run of the course will commence in the new semester starting August 2020.
As the accounting profession increasingly leverages technological advancements to perform tasks such as data analytics, it is important for accountants to possess the skills needed to read and interpret the data and to perform higher value work that improves financial reporting standards and audit quality to remain relevant in the future.
This course aims to build audit analytics capabilities in the students so that they are equipped with the relevant skillsets and the right mindset when they enter the profession. It will also prepared them for what lies ahead as the role of the accountant continues to evolve.
Delivered over 13 weeks by a Deloitte Audit & Assurance Partner and an Audit Analytics Senior Manager, students taking the module will learn to apply data analytics in audit and practise on real-life examples through the development of prototype visualisation dashboards.
Upon completion of the course, the students will have an added advantage to be evaluated and considered for priority internship and job placements at Deloitte.
