The Next Generation CIO Academy Southeast Asia

Stepping into a CIO role requires strong technology operators to shift their focus, and strengthen the soft skills required to become business influencers and catalysts of change. By examining the role of CIO through four fundamental faces, Deloitte’s Next Generation CIO Academy will explore how technology leaders can unlock the skills required to maximize IT value to their organization.

CIOs fill some of the most challenging roles in business today, with responsibilities for creating value that extend far beyond traditional information technology support and delivery.

From influencing strategic decisions, creating enterprise value to building leadership confidence, CIOs today stand at the very center of enterprise transformation and creation of value. The Mission of the Deloitte Next Generation CIO Academy is to prepare technology Leaders for the four faces of the CIO: Technologist, Catalyst of change, business Strategist, and effective Operator.

Deloitte’s Next Generation CIO Academy is designed for 15-20 next-generation IT leaders, who have demonstrated strong talent potential to rise into an executive technology role within the next one to three years. Spanning two days, the Academy is an immersive and interactive experience, combining presentations, panels, case studies and small team sessions. The curriculum is facilitated by senior Deloitte industry and offering leaders, accompanied by leading CxO guest speakers to share their experiences and advice.

Academy Objectives:

• Provide next-generation technology leaders with insights and initial understanding of:
• The technology trends and economic headwinds CIOs will be expected to navigate
• The breadth and complexities of the role
• The behaviours expected of a role model CIO in delivering against their responsibilities
• The challenges facing CIOs to lead their business through heightened levels of scrutiny
• Introduce a network of peers to provide one another with support during this important stage of their careers
• Access respected C-Suite executives and leading industry experts
