An initiative launched in 2016 by the Deloitte Singapore Boardroom Program, the Board-ready Women Program aims to prepare aspiring senior women executive leaders for board service. After a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the fourth cohort was launched in January 2022, and took place in person over four sessions. Participants heard from business leaders and subject matter experts on board readiness topics and current issues on the board’s agenda like ESG, digital transformation, trust and purpose – aiming to support women leaders in their future roles.

The Southeast Asia SheXO Program’s second annual SheXO Forum took place on 11 March 2022 at Sofitel Singapore City Centre. The hybrid event saw over 80 C-suite business leaders joining us in person or participating virtually across different parts of Southeast Asia.
Centred around the theme, ‘Leading with Trust’, invited speakers and panelists included Deloitte partners and distinguished business leaders, who shared about the imperativeness of inclusion in society, and how trust helps organisations to navigate through volatility and uncertainty.

The second SheXO Young Leaders Challenge, organised in collaboration with United Women Singapore, launched in July and successfully concluded with an award ceremony on 20 October 2022. Focusing on the topic of multigenerational diversity in workplaces this year, over 400 sign-ups were received and the SheXO Program is pleased to announce 11 winners from this year’s challenge.

The SEA CFO Program held a CFO Forum in Singapore on 29 August 2022, discussing trends impacting the finance function and the skills required by finance professionals to deal with these changes, at the back of a report jointly launched by Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). Vincent Yik (Group Chief Financial Officer at Singapore Post Limited) and Timothy Ho (SEA CFO Program Lead) spoke candidly about the attractiveness of finance and accounting roles, and what CFOs can and should do to retain and attract talent.

Watched by over 50,000 people during its first run in 2015, The LKY Musical tells Lee Kuan Yew’s story - from his student days in 1941 to Singapore’s independence in 1965. Deloitte Singapore was pleased to host over 100 clients and their spouses at this home-grown musical – an inspiring tale of facing hardship head-on, overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges and rising from the ashes.

After a three-year break due to the pandemic, the Deloitte SEA CFO Program hosted the ‘CFO Vision 2022 – A world remade’ conference. Over 80 senior finance executives and Deloitte leaders attended the live conference at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel on 3 November 2022.
The event was graced by Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, who delivered the keynote address on opportunities to remake and improve in the face of profound change.
Our stellar line-up of speakers from different backgrounds and industries also generously shared their views on opportunities and risks in a remade world, while discussing new trends that shape and support the way we live and work today.

To gain a more granular understanding of the evolving roles of the CFO and finance function across the region, we conducted a survey and a series of in-depth conversations with Southeast Asian CFOs across different sectors to examine their concerns and provide our insights on how CFOs can become more effective change partners.
The Deloitte Southeast Asia’s CFO Program launched its third edition of the Deloitte SEA CFO Agenda report on 3 November 2022, exploring CFOs’ priorities on key issues year-on-year, and revealing the skillsets needed to meet the tall and growing expectations of the CFO.

The SheXO Program held its annual Christmas get-together to wrap up the year with a celebratory luncheon at the Deloitte University Asia Pacific, located in Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa. Women leaders had the opportunity to catch up with one another and connect with new, like-minded people, as well as experience a workshop on wellness that was a perfect opportunity to unwind and focus on well-being before the start of a new year.
