Frequently asked questions

All your questions answered

1. How does a company apply to be part of the Best Managed Companies?

Applicants for the Best Managed Companies award will undergo a two-phase application process.

Phase I – The online application
The first phase involves verifying eligibility and completing an online form, which typically takes 30–90 minutes using readily available information.

Phase II – The applicant lab experience
Deloitte coaches work directly with applicants in a one-on-one lab session to gain insights into the company’s business, providing tailored advice, and benchmarking against top-performing private companies globally.

The Best Managed benchmarks represent best practices derived from over 30 years of awards history.

The lab lasts for two hours.

After the lab session, we provide participants with the Best Managed framework, benchmarks, and applicant insights to guide them in completing their final Phase II online application.
