MAS Announcement on Bank Licence Application

On 29 August 2019, MAS released the digital bank licence application package.

This follows up on its 28 June 2019 announcement that it would issue up to two digital full bank (DFB) licences and three digital wholesale bank (DWB) licences.

With this, MAS has opened the field for applicants to showcase their differentiated value proposition, ability to manage a prudent and sustainable digital banking business, and growth prospects and other contributions to Singapore’s financial centre.
