  • Donating medical supplies and PPE kits: Indonesia

    We raised US$20,131 for the Dana Kemanusiaan Kompas (DKK) Foundation to help it provide vulnerable communities with medical supplies, 1,000 packages of staple foods, and 2,000 non-medical masks.
  • Helping underserved children transition to digital learning: Malaysia

    Committed to ensuring education is accessible to all, Deloitte Malaysia’s KidsEdu outreach programme joined hands with the YTL Foundation to provide 100 tablets, each with 40GB of Internet data to students from the Bottom 40% (B40) income households.
  • Creating a community movement to support frontline workers: Philippines

    Deloitte Philippines coordinated a campaign to provide hospitals and frontline workers with PPE kits.

Improving digital access for underprivileged children amid COVID-19: Singapore

Technology is a great enabler, even more so for disadvantaged individuals and communities. As Singapore becomes more digitally connected, there is still a large digital divide affecting vulnerable populations. This became evident when the Singapore Government implemented a ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown on 7 April 2020 to stem the community spread of COVID-19. It meant all schools had to shift to online home-based learning.

Assisting the sports and arts communities during uncertainty

With tours, shows and major sporting events cancelled for the foreseeable future, sportspeople and artists have been disproportionately hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, such a crisis reinforces the importance of arts and sports in connecting and uniting the community.
