Gülfer Irmak, Partner

After graduated from the Faculty of International Relations of Middle East Technical University in Ankara in 1996, Gülfer Irmak joined Deloitte Turkey in 1996 and became a partner in 2011. She is in the management of global mobility services provided to major multinational companies. She is experienced in corporate tax audits, Mergers & Acquisitions and Double Tax Treaty Applications and global employer services. Besides those, she has significant experiences on taxation, social security, immigration issues for international assignments of individuals and tax planning for employee share schemes and taxation on wealth management instruments.

Gülfer became a Certified Accountant and Consultant (“SMMM”) in 2000.  She has attended professional training courses on “International Taxation” issues (permanent establishments, transfer pricing, double tax treaties, thin capitalization, taxation of international assignments of the individuals, etc.) in various European offices of Deloitte. She has also participated in advanced professional tax training courses of the International Tax Academy (ITA) in the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in the Netherlands.

She is a member of Energy & Resources, Life Sciences and Health Care Group and Tax Clients & Industries Team within Deloitte Turkey. At the same time she is a member of Turkish Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority and Istanbul Certified Public Accountants Chamber. Gülfer speaks English fluently.
