Deloitte profiled in global financial management competitive landscape by Gartner
New York, NY, 29 January 2014– Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) is pleased to announce that Deloitte has been profiled by Gartner in their recently released report entitled Competitive Landscape: Global Financial Management Consultants Supporting a New a Breed of CFO.
The report notes “CFOs are strategic partners to the business, but as their role has evolved, they have had to develop many new capabilities. Financial consultants who can help them manage the change with new technology and strategies will become their trusted advisors.”
“I am excited to announce that Deloitte has been included in Gartner’s December 2013 article, “Competitive Landscape: Global Financial Management Consultants Supporting a New a Breed of CFO”, said Steven Ehrenhalt, Leader, Finance Transformation Practice & Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP in the United States.
“We believe this recognition from Gartner is a testimony to our practitioners, our knowledge, and our commitment to work collaboratively, within and across borders, to develop and implement innovative, best-in-class solutions that create value for clients. I am proud of the individual achievements that collectively comprise this well-deserved accolade and thank all of our Finance Transformation practitioners for their commitment to providing superior service!”
Key findings as noted in the Gartner report:
- “The finance role will become more holistic, requiring an understanding of enterprise business data, with a big increase in analytics use and a reliance on chief digital and data officers for support. Finance departments will look for more security and risk prevention solutions.”
- “The digitization and integration of data into platforms or solutions via the Nexus of Forces (social media, mobility, analytics and digital information) are having a big impact on the manner in which the finance function approaches technology.”
- “’Futuristic’ new technologies, such as software robots and cognitive artificial intelligence, no longer just track and learn about historical data. They now analyze cognitive behavioral patterns and list financial scenarios and recommendations.”
