Amit - Tapping into the power of conversation

Amit came all the way from India to build his cyber expertise with us. But the biggest thing he’s learnt has nothing to do with computers.

How did you join Deloitte?

I joined Deloitte LLP London back in 2018 as a Manager in Cyber for the Identity and Access Manager service. Before then, I was with an IT service management company in India.

What are you responsible for in your role?

As I have joined as a Manager my responsibility is to manage the Identity and Access Manager projects for multiple sectors. These include Assessments, Consulting and Strategy projects. I am responsible for tracking the project status, deliverables and working on the client as well as Partner expectations.

How are you supported to work flexibly?

I am working full time and there is flexibility to work from home in case of an emergency, which helps me to balance my professional and personal life.

What was your most memorable moment on the job so far?

Since I have joined recently, there are very few memorable moments, but I enjoyed Introductory Lunch of all the newly joined Risk Advisory resources with Phill Everson. It was very good to understand each other, and a great networking opportunity. Phill gave a very brief understanding of him, and the main thing I took from the lunch was this: have a lot of discussion within your team, because it helps build networks and provides you with a lot of opportunities.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Since I have come from India my spare time currently is to explore a new place with the UK. Apart from that, I like to read a lot of technology articles.
