"How Business can thrive in the new normal" seminar

Ho Chi Minh City, July 2020 - Deloitte Vietnam, in collaboration with Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (VYEA), organized a seminar on “How businesses can thrive in the new normal”, aiming to share the experiences for businesses to recover during crisis.

2020 is a remarkable year for Vietnam as the Chair of ASEAN 2020, especially this year becomes more memorable in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. In “the new normal"", along with the continuous efforts in production, business and recovery, aiming to maintain sustainability and employment for workers, with the role of ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association Chair 2020, the VYEA has been actively leading and connecting young businesses community in the region, to promote a resilient business community.

Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairperson of VYEA shared: “The seminar on “How businesses can thrive during the new normal”, co-organized by VYEA and Deloitte Vietnam, is the first event in the series of seminars that we expect to organize from now until the end of this year, providing VYEA members the opportuinity to learn and grow, and more importantly, to develop a more professional, intelligent and successful businesses community, and still keeping up with the global trends. This is also a preparation for the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival 2020, with VYEA being the Chair of ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association in 2020. ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival 2020 is a great opportunity for VYEA to affirm the position and role of young entrepreneurs in particular, the business community and Vietnamese businesses in general in supporting the Government to successfully organize the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Forum 2020 in Vietnam”.

The first seminar provides an overview of the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on the economy generally and the impact on business in particular; provides the insights from the international finance corporation on how to utilize the finance resources during crisis, as well as proposes urgent actions to minimize the negative impacts to help businesses thrive in the crisis period.

With the purpose of continuing to promote and demonstrate the role of connecting young businesses in Vietnam and ASEAN, Deloitte Vietnam was officially appointed as the strategic to support the VYEA by providing training series, with recommendations from experts’ perspective, updates on development trends, successful lessons, which business can adjust accordingly with their goal and strategy.
