The questions that shouldn't be left to AI: A philosopher's take

Introducing the 3 Es: Three essential questions that leaders should never ask AI, according to philosopher Pia Lauritzen

Looking to master prompt engineering for generative AI? Great. As more organizations adopt generative AI tools in the workplace, many employers are recognizing prompt engineering as a core competency they’d like to encourage across their workforce. (In an early 2024 Deloitte survey of nearly 2,000 business and tech leaders, 60% cited prompt engineering as a skill they expect to increase in value in response to gen AI adoption.)

But have you considered the questions that you should not be asking AI?

Pia Lauritzen, founder and CEO of Qvest, studies the philosophy behind questions and how they shape human thinking and knowledge. She spoke with Deloitte Insights at the Thinkers50 gala in London, an organization and event celebrating achievements in business and leadership research, and she shared what she calls “the 3 Es”—three essential questions that should never be left to AI.
