About

December is the perfect time to take a moment to give back to society and spread happiness. Through the Digital Shoebox, Deloitte is teaming up with Colruyt to provide food and drinks to the homeless and underprivileged community in Belgium. Together with you and our partners, we can distribute gifts to people in these unusual times when it is even more important to support and look after each other. Help us contribute to the initiative and donate a #DigitalShoebox!

How does it work

Deloitte has developed this platform where businesses and individuals can donate a #DigitalShoebox that will be distributed to people in need. Each box, delivered by Colruyt, contains products that bring joy in these festive times. The products are non-perishable, alcohol-free, easy to open and directly consumable. The shoeboxes will be distributed to various associations with the help of the Samaritans. Every box has a big impact. To donate a gift, select an amount and spread joy this holiday season. Donations (made in 2020) as from €40 will be 60% tax deductible. The applicable fiscal certificates will be provided by the King Baudouin Foundation.
Together with you, Deloitte and Colruyt are teaming up to give underprivileged and homeless people a gift for Christmas.
A leading audit and consulting practice in Belgium, Deloitte offers value added services in audit, accounting, tax and legal, consulting, financial advisory services, and risk advisory services. In Belgium, Deloitte has more than 4,500 employees in 12 locations across the country, serving national and international companies, from small and middle-sized enterprises, to public sector and non-profit organisations. Deloitte is proud to digitalize the existing Shoebox concept, so that also during these unprecedented times, the donation of food and drinks is safeguarded to the underprivileged community. The King Baudouin Foundation, an independent public benefit foundation, is supporting this project by processing the donations and providing fiscal certificates when applicable.
Colruyt Group is a Belgian family owned retail group. They, together with their logistic partner Solucious, are supporting this initiative by securing article availability, taking on the full logistic process and delivering the shoebox items via the Samaritans to the homeless and underprivileged communities in Belgium.
