Book your next ‘flight’ to our webinar series

The Cockpit - Deloitte’s EU Digital Studio is a physical space created to inspire, demonstrate and ideate about the future. It is located at the heart of Brussels’ EU Quarter - a stone’s throw from the European Institutions. This means that for now, we’ll be going digital.

DL1009 - DESTINATION: Enterprise Architecture – flying between business and IT

Thursday, 10 September 2020 | 9:00 - 10:00 (CEST)

Many organisations experience difficulties in aligning business and IT, taking into account regulations, strategic goals and drivers, existing technology landscapes, etc. This often results in a broad portfolio of projects that may be incoherent and without clear prioritisation. Therefore, it is difficult for the people steering the organisation to decide where to invest their money first. Deloitte has supported many organisations in setting up enterprise architecture as a vehicle to tackle these concerns. Join us on a virtual flight with the Belgian public sector technology leader Wesley Bille and his team to explore the possibilities of enterprise architecture and how it has been used in the context of the Single Digital Gateway in Belgium.

DL1709 - DESTINATION: Green transition of cities and regions and urban resilience. Extremely necessary, but how to make it smart?

Thursday, 17 September 2020 | 9:00 - 10:00 (CEST)

Urbanisation, climate change, poor air quality, poor water retention or COVID-19 impacts are only some of our cities’ most pressing problems. Solutions and mechanisms to tackle the issues are in place, but using the vehicles wisely is sometimes a challenge. Our session will present the view, vision and approach to greening urban and regional policies using the example of the Polish 44MPA climate change adaptation project. This is a unique project on EU and global scale involving top-down coordination at national level and bottom-up approach regarding the individual urban plans. Our common goal is to ensure that stakeholders are well prepared to use the available support mechanisms, based on a strategic approach and we are ready to help in this process.

Join us on a virtual flight with the representatives from the Polish Ministry of Climate and Irena Pichola, our global leader on sustainability for Deloitte’s Smart City network and leader of the Sustainability Consulting practice in Central Europe, to explore and debate.
