5G faces challenges
While all the operators are moving forward with their business-to-consumer 5G rollout plans, the opinion of the Belgian public has been impacted by some stories in the press. In a recent consumer survey conducted by Deloitte in the US, 67 percent of respondents said that they are likely to upgrade to a 5G compatible smartphone when 5G service is available in their area.
Just over a third of respondents believe that there are health risks associated with 5G.
Only 40 percent of respondents think that 5G will provide them better mobile connectivity. However, two-thirds also report not knowing enough about 5G yet.
