Daan is a Partner at Deloitte Global Trade Advisory Belgium, based in Brussels. With a primary focus on customs, trade regulatory, excise-related advisory and operational support services, he puts the Deloitte GTA team’s expertise and experience at the disposal of a broad range of private and public sector clients across the globe.
Having his roots in business advisory, Daan is well acquainted with both common and cutting edge global trade structures, practices, challenges and solutions. Together with his legal background, this enables him to provide all-encompassing and highly valued solutions though reconciling both practical and technical considerations.
Daan is a guest-lecturer at the universities of Leuven, Antwerp and Brussels and is regularly asked to speak at seminars and conferences in Belgium and abroad. He is the author of the book “practical guide to customs in the EU” and various other publications.
