Women roundtable

The Women Roundtable: the Power of Women the Value of Balance, was held on 28 March, with Hailin Lyu, former president of the Women's International Forum and spouse of BFA Secretary General Li Baodong, as convener and moderator.

Deloitte Asia Pacific CEO Cindy Hook, with other women leaders from across the world, was invited to consider the potential of women's contribution to society. 

The panelists noted how far there is still to go before we reach true gender equality, with women still paid much less than men in many sectors, and suggested education is vital for female empowerment. Cindy Hook pointed out the importance of using technologies in a way that benefits women amid the 4^th Industrial Revolution, and noted that men are an integral part of promoting gender equality, which is important for the whole of society.
