Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2019

The service sector, a highlight in China's renewed efforts to open its economy up wider, is attracting much attention. This morning, Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank shared his perspectives as a panelist on the "Opening up the Service Sector" session at BFA AC 2019.

The sector, David noted, contributes half of all global trade volume. The potential of trade in services is significant for both China and the world. A friendly business environment not only attracts foreign investment, but will also advance cooperation between foreign and local companies, further driving the opening up of China's service sector, David suggested.

At the "Reform for Converging Interests, Cooperation for Mutual Benefits" TV session with CCTV Finance Channel's 'Dialogue', Xiao Yaqing, Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, delivered a speech on the mixed ownership reform of Chinese SOEs.

During the subsequent panel, David shared his expert views on how to help domestic and overseas enterprises create synergy for mutual benefit through sound corporate governance.
