New Era, Shared Future - Deloitte at the opening ceremony
The opening ceremony of the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) (the Hongqiao International Economic Forum) was held this morning. Deloitte's delegation was led by Global Chief Strategy Officer John Meacock, China CEO Patrick Tsang, AP Clients & Industries Leader Vivian Jiang, China Chief Strategy Officer Marco Hecker and China Eastern Region Managing Partner Dora Liu.
More than just an expo, CIIE is a platform for dialogue on trade and innovation. President Xi's speech at the opening ceremony aimed to enhance confidence in China's further opening-up, and demonstrated how China will create new opportunities across the world.
At the first CIIE last year, Deloitte engaged with government agencies and companies and agreed several projects to support Chinese companies in digital transformation, globalization and creation of a smart future.
This year, Deloitte is presenting a diversified booth on the theme 'Connected. Make an Impact', showcasing its operational and professional services capabilities enhanced by technological innovation, aiming to drive sustainable value creation for the Chinese government, clients and society.
After the opening ceremony, the Deloitte delegation said China's continued efforts to promote higher-level opening-up, drive innovation and foster new growth drivers has been contributing to its high-quality economic development, which has added momentum to world economy. These initiatives will bring more opportunities for foreign investment in key areas.
