The global banking sector has largely transformed itself over years of post-crisis repair, design, and implementation. Banks have been moving from “fire drill” mode on regulatory initiatives toward integration of resources and sustainability over the longer term.
In Hong Kong, the market landscape has been transforming fast. The use of technologies is providing new strategic and regulatory challenges to the risk leaders in the financial institutions. Technology is also set to pave way for better risk management.
Deloitte is hosting a Leaders' Meeting to provide the latest updates in risk management trends.
Tony Wood, Deloitte Asia Pacific Financial Risk Advisory Leader and China Financial Services Risk Advisory Leader, will be the keynote speaker to share insights on what technology represents to risk management, and what it does not.
Our first panel will be a discussion on recent global and local regulatory trends to help set the stage for a deeper discussion on technology evolution. Joining the panel are Deloitte leaders from around the globe who will shed light on how regulatory trends are impacting Hong Kong.
The second panel will tackle the heated issues around risk capital management and technology risk. Panellists will share their experience working in this space and their insights on how we can take advantage of emerging technologies to thrive.
