2019 Deloitte Tax Championship Arrangement
The 2019 Deloitte Tax Championship includes 3 phases. Details of each phase is as follows,
Preliminary Contest – online competition, will be in the format of single and multiple choice. It will be focusing on PRC tax and relevant regulations, as well as evaluating students' proficiency in English and logics. A total of 30 teams including 20 highest-scoring teams from Mainland China, 5 top teams from Hong Kong S.A.R. and Macau S.A.R., and 5 top teams from Taiwan during the Phase I preliminary contest will advance the second round contest. The result will be announced within one week after the end of preliminary contest.
Second Round Contest – case study and oral presentation competition. During this contest, the 30 teams need to analyze a simulated tax case and submit their case solution reports in set period. Each team still need to do a brief oral presentation on a given topic. There will be a group-draw on the competition day dividing the mainland teams into 3 groups. Top 2 teams of each group plus 3 more teams with next highest scores will qualify for Phase III national contest, totaling 9 teams. Meanwhile 2 top teams from Hong Kong S.A.R. and Macau S.A.R., together with 2 more top teams from Taiwan will also advance the Phase III national contest. Deloitte will announce the complete list of 13 finalist teams in early September.
National Contest – case study presentation competition
On day 1 of the semi-final competition, the 13 finalist teams will go through the challenge of presenting a business simulation case solution to a panel of judges. The judges will then rank these teams by their performances. On day 2 of the final competition, top 3 finalist teams will conduct another round of presentation on a new business simulation case competing for the champion, 1st runner up, and 2ndrunner up.

Qualification
Deloitte Tax Championship is open to all students from the invited universities. Eligible participants must be taking full-time undergraduate or master programs at the time of registration, and over the period of the competition. Students who had attended the competition in the past cannot enroll again.
It is mandatory for all four members of each team to participate in three phases of the competition. Teams advance to next phase competition cannot change or reduce team members. Deloitte reserves the right to make final decision under exceptional circumstances.

Enrollment
Deloitte allows each invited university to nominate maximum of 2 teams, which must comprise of students from different institutes. It is required that each team is comprised of 4 students, with 2 Master students at most. Deloitte reserves the right of final review.
Interested students from invited universities please contact the person in charge in respective university to enroll in the competition. The deadline of enrollment is May 31th.
