Dimitrios Tsochas

Dimitrios has an extensive experience of more than 10 years working across various departments of Deloitte Cyprus. He joined the company in 2011 and worked in Audit department until February 2016. During this period, he was involved in audits for local and offshore clients across different industries.

In 2016, he joined the Risk advisory - Operational Risk department where he focused on internal audits, risk assessment reviews, assessments of internal control systems and documentation of procedures. He was also part of the team providing advisory services for SSM regulated Banks in Cyprus for their implementation and application of IFRS 9 were he provided expert advice for the individual assessment stream.

In 2019, he joined the Assurance services department and since then he is providing assurance and advisory services to financial institutions, microfinance companies and large corporates.

Currently, Dimitrios holds the responsibility of overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) service offering in Cyprus, which covers a wide range of engagements throughout the Middle East region. Since 2020, he serves as the Project Manager for audit engagements for notable clients, including a large local Bank and Public Interest Entity (PIE). In 2022, he fulfilled the role of Project Manager for a prolonged engagement assigned directly by the European Central Bank (ECB) to Deloitte Cyprus.

Dimitrios holds a MA in Economics from the University of Aberdeen and MSc in Economics and Financial Economics from the University of Nottingham.
