Best Law Firms in Germany 2024

Deloitte Legal represented in numerous ‘Best Law Firms in Germany’ rankings

On 30 September, the law firm ranking of the US publisher 'Best Lawyers' was published for the first time in Germany in cooperation with the Handelsblatt. Deloitte Legal was listed in a total of 23 national and regional rankings:

  • Germany-wide: Four Tier 2 rankings and three Tier 3 rankings
  • Regionally: Seven Tier 1 rankings, six Tier 2 rankings and three Tier 3 rankings

The rankings are based on feedback from more than 3,100 clients, more than 2,700 lawyer evaluations, 116 interviews with practice group and firm leaders, and extensive data collected through the Law Firm Survey.

National Rankings

In the national ranking for Germany, the following areas of law were ranked in Tier 2:

  • Banking and Finance Law,
  • Corporate Law,
  • Information Technology Law and
  • Mergers and Acquisitions Law.

The following areas made it into Tier 3:

  • Intellectual Property Law,
  • Labour and Employment Law and
  • Restructuring and Insolvency Law.

Regional Rankings

We are also very pleased that Deloitte Legal has achieved very high rankings in the regional rankings in many areas of law:

Tier 1 lists

  • Baden-Württemberg (Corporate Law),
  • Bavaria (Corporate Law),
  • Berlin (Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law),
  • Hamburg (Mergers and Acquisitions Law and Restructuring and Insolvency Law),
  • Hesse (Banking and Finance Law),
  • Lower Saxony (Corporate Law) and
  • North Rhine-Westphalia (Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law).
