Deloitte Legal advises Klöckner & Co Group on two transactions

The Deloitte Legal team led by Corporate/M&A Partner Michael von Rüden (Düsseldorf) and Corporate/M&A Senior Associate Christoph Meves (Düsseldorf) advised Becker Stainless GmbH, a subsidiary of Klöckner & Co SE, on two acquisitions.

The acquisition of the business operations of Hernandez Stainless GmbH and the acquisition of RSC Rostfrei Coilcenter GmbH by Becker Stainless GmbH were completed at the end of July following a successful clearance by the antitrust authorities in Germany and Austria.

With these acquisitions, Becker-Stahl is entering the stainless steel processing business and expanding its product and service portfolio. Hernandez Stainless GmbH is an expert in the processing of surfaces and the storage of stainless flat products and supplies around 400 distributors and stainless steel processing companies from various industries throughout Europe. Going forward, RSC Rostfrei Coilcenter GmbH will operate under the name Becker Stainless Center GmbH. The company specializes in the plaiting of stainless steel coils and is an important supplier to the acquired business operations.
