New Directors appointed at Deloitte Malta

Malta, 21 July 2023— Deloitte has announced the appointment of Daniel Caruana and David Herrera as Directors within Deloitte Malta, effective 01 June 2023.

Mr. Caruana joined Deloitte Malta’s Corporate Direct Tax Compliance team in 2007. He subsequently moved to the Mergers & Acquisitions team within the Tax business and returned to the Corporate Direct Tax team in 2017. Daniel serves as Chairman on the Malta Institute of Taxation’s Domestic and Compliance Committee. In November 2022, Daniel was appointed as a Director of Deloitte Tax Services Limited.

Mr. Herrera joined Deloitte Malta’s Risk Advisory business in 2017 after working within the banking industry and, earlier on, within government. At Deloitte, David predominantly advises banks, financial institutions and local businesses on matters relating to regulatory strategy, corporate governance, and risk management. He forms part of the Steering Committee of Deloitte’s Banking Union Centre in Frankfurt (BUCF) and serves as a Business Risk Leader within the Risk Advisory business.
