Hong Kong—Online applications for Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) launched

On 28 December 2022, the Hong Kong SAR Immigration Department opened online applications for the new TTPS. The scheme is designed to attract eligible talent to Hong Kong SAR in order to explore new opportunities. Individuals applying to enter Hong Kong SAR under the TTPS are not required to secure an offer of employment in Hong Kong SAR prior to submitting an application and may choose to apply for the TTPS under one of three categories. The processing of visa or entry permit applications under the TTPS is expected to take around four weeks from the receipt of all required documents. Successful applicants normally are granted an initial stay of 24 months, with no other conditions imposed. Each applicant may only be granted an initial stay once. The TTPS does not apply to nationals from Afghanistan, Cuba, Laos, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Nepal, and Vietnam.
