Life at Deloitte
Kholoud Adnan Mousa, Audit Leader, Deloitte & Touche Bakr Abulkhair & Co.
One Saudi woman’s prerogative brings a whole new perspective
As a woman working near the epicenter of the petroleum industry, you could say Kholoud Adnan Mousa, Audit Leader, Deloitte & Touche Bakr Abulkhair & Co., has a unique perspective. As the first woman to be awarded a license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you could say she has insights that are truly one of a kind.
"I am very pleased with the license I received, which should now open the door for more Saudi women to pursue career opportunities in the field of accounting and auditing," said Kholoud. Less than 10 percent of the Saudi workforce is female, yet women make up more than half of the country's college graduates. Kholoud credits her milestone achievement to support from her husband and family, and to a Deloitte culture that “sees beyond gender to potential.”
Deloitte is committed to the recruitment and advancement of women through initiatives such as the DRAW (Deloitte Retention and Advancement of Women) program, which was designed to support the member firm’s efforts to gain recognition as the place where talented high-performing women in the region can find outstanding careers.
