The art of reputation management
On 12 September 2018, Deloitte experts held a webinar titled “The art of reputation management”
Do you know what your company reputation is? In your opinion, to what extent does your personal reputation contribute to or reduce value of your company? In the event of reputation incident, will the reputation of your company and your personal reputation help you to handle the situation adequately, or will it make it worse? The answers to these questions are not as easy as they may seem.
Moreover, even owners and managers of Ukrainian medium and large businesses do not always realize the far-reaching effects of reputation events. According to the commonly held opinion, if a company generates permanent income it is not exposed to reputation risks. On the contrary, the situation is exactly reversed.
In the developed economies, reputation risks have long been part of strategic risks. Moreover, reputation risk has become the number one strategic risk. Most company leaders understand that they need to know how to manage such risks.
As for Ukraine, the situation is different to that in other world countries. However, we can see the emergence of certain trends that influence the development of reputation management practices in Ukraine.
