Prior to joining, I just thought of Deloitte as an accounting firm. I was wrong! Every day I get to work on innovative tech solutions that help protect, enhance and drive value in companies.
Entrepreneurial Software Developer, Dauda has found a like-minded community at Deloitte Ventures. His enthusiasm for enterprise has always been present. Whilst growing up in Nigeria, he and his cousins would buy large quantities of sugar cane to sell on at the market for profit.
Today, he channels his passion for venturing through his role as a full stack software developer, turning business ideas into technology solutions. Dauda builds new and exciting technology assets for our Financial Advisory business.
When he’s not building software, he is often reading about it. His top recommendations include: ‘Lean Startup’ by Eric Ries, ‘Clean Architecture’ and ‘Clean Code’ by Robin Cecil Martin.
Genny Allcroft
Software Developer
I love deep thinking and complex problem solving. As a developer I get to spend time re-imagining the future of our business and building the tech solutions to make it a reality.
Genny’s insatiable thirst for learning can be traced back to her time at the Oxford University where her research as part of a master’s in chemistry, led to the discovery of a new superconductor. Today, Genny’s a software developer in our Tax and Legal practice, where you’ll find her researching new technologies and building the next wave of digital compliance solutions for e-Commerce companies.
Genny lives in London with her fiancé and young daughter and is training for her first marathon.
Bernadette Maingat
Venture Lead
Working in Ventures, I’ve learned key skills in assessing ideas and my role has only continued to fuel my curiosity in exploring new trends and businesses.
Our curious Canadian, Bernadette is fascinated by early stage, innovative ideas, making her a perfect match for Deloitte Ventures.
By day, Bernadette leads on ideas in the Financial Advisory incubator – helping to create, grow and launch innovative concepts. She designs and delivers programs that drive early stage business ventures, harnessing entrepreneurial talent across the firm.
By night, Bernadette is a chicken wing connoisseur. She is part of @wing_sistas trio, providing chicken wing reviews at London’s top joints.
Jasmin Kooner

I feel at home in Ventures as it’s full of like-minded people who constantly strive to do things in new and creative ways.
This creative powerhouse is energised by finding new innovative ways for Deloitte and our clients to collaborate with third party organisations. From academia and start-ups through to largescale organisations, Jasmin thrives on driving fresh thinking into Deloitte and uncovering opportunities to venture by inviting the outside in.
And it’s not just in the office where Jasmin’s creative juices flow in abundance. Outside of work she is an aspiring singer-songwriter, painter and blogger.
Lyanne Earls

The art of process is incredibly motivating – it’s how I get into flow… By seeing things come to life.
When artistic ability meets technical aptitude, you get a product manager who loves seeing things blossom into being. She’s a creator. She’s an orchestrator. She’s a venturer.
Lyanne’s career started in software engineering where she focused on how to build products. But with a hunger for big picture thinking, she shifted gears and moved into product management so she could instead focus on what should be built and why. It’s a shift that’s allowed her to come into her own. Lyanne sees opportunity for improvement where the average person does not – turning simple problems into massive gain.
It’s perhaps her creativity that gives her the ability to see things differently. Having dabbled in the creative arts with theatre make-up, Lyanne has an artistic streak. She now spends her free time creating graphic landscapes. It’s her way of unwinding. And to the benefit of all those who see them.
Nayia Filippou
Data Scientist
I’m passionate about finding innovative ways to help clients achieve their goals. Every day, I try to uncover new solutions through data.
This data scientist has a penchant for notebooks – it started with music notebooks, when learning to play the piano aged 5 and today, takes the form of Python notebooks.
Nayia specialises in utilising data to help businesses make smarter, better decisions. She focuses on solving some of the biggest data-driven problems faced by our Tax clients, using machine learning to design rich data visualisations and deliver valuable insight.
Nayia’s experience spans both business and academia - with a PhD and MSc in Statistics and teaching experience at University College London.
Ryan Harris
UX Designer
I’m proud to be part of a team that’s creating a strong design culture and community inside a global organisation.”
With a law degree under his belt, Ryan started out at Deloitte in tax advisory. However, these days you’ll find him working as a Designer in our Experience Design (XD) team, where he combines his passion for technology experimentation with tax expertise to create cutting-edge digital tax solutions.
Ryan thrives on the challenge of designing intuitive and easy to use technology products for highly complex and legislative heavy environments. Watching an initial concept grow from a few sketches to a fully functioning product, that clients enjoy using, gives him a real buzz.
Outside of work, Ryan is an avid climber and seasoned salsa dancer.
Dr Siobhan Gardiner
Climate Change and Environment Lead
With the future of our planet at stake, businesses must launch into this new decade with action and accountability on climate change. I am thrilled to be a part of the Deloitte Ventures team, working closely with experts in emerging technologies to develop new tools to support our fight against climate change.
A biochemist by background, Siobhan has hung up her lab coat to lead the Climate Change and Environment Studio at Deloitte Ventures. Siobhan works with our clients, alliance partners, start-ups and internal teams to accelerate the development of new and innovative concepts to reduce the impact of business on climate and the environment.
With over a decade working in R&D in consumer goods, supply chain innovation and sustainable production, Siobhan brings passion and pace to our sustainability and climate change endeavours.
