Cherries ripe for the biggest prize in world football
On Saturday AFC Bournemouth will secure promotion to the top flight of English football for the first time in their 125 year history and guarantee a revenue uplift of at least £130 million. This figure would rise to around £230 million should the Cherries maintain their Premier League status in the first season, allowing them to benefit from the new broadcast deals which commence in 2016/17.

Premier League clubs generated a combined pre-tax profit of £190m in 2013/14. The first pre-tax profit in 15 years, the figure is almost four times greater than the previous record of £49m set in 1997/98. This is in sharp contrast to the £2.6 billion of pre-tax losses accumulated over the previous decade.
